Archdiocese celebrates opening of Year for Priests
HOUSTON – The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston formally kicked off the Year for Priests with a special Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, June 23.
Renewal occurring in the Galveston-Bolivar Peninsula parishes will reach a milestone soon with the suppression of old parishes and creation of a new parish.
GALVESTON – As Father John Bok, O.F.M., sees it, there are many blessings that will come out of the merger of Catholics on Galveston Island and Bolivar Peninsula.
HOUSTON – Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church (OLW), one of only eight Anglican Use communities in the U.S., hosted the 2009 Anglican Use Conference June 11-13.
